Rita "JoAnne" (Wasson) Fritts

Rita JoAnne (Wasson) Fritts, age 87, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 5:38 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

JoAnne was born November 26, 1933, in Eldorado, IL, to Ernest and Clydia (McDonnough) Wasson. She graduated from Harrisburg High School and was a member of Creekside Baptist Church. JoAnne enjoyed shopping, traveling and playing the piano.

JoAnne is survived by her daughter, Tammie Salas of Hollywood, FL; brother, Lyndel Wasson; 4 grandchildren; and brother, Robert Wasson.

JoAnne is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Carroll Fritts, who passed away in 2010; son, Duane Fritts; sister, Eloise Mossberger and Janice Feingoud; brothers, Willard Wasson, George Wasson, and Howard Lee Wasson.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mount Carmel, IL, with Randall Drake officiating.
