Robert L. Harper, age 90, of Boonville, IN, went home to be with his heavenly Father at 6:17am on Friday, January, 1, 2021.
Robert was born March 25, 1930 in Newburgh, IN, to Charles Augustus and Mary Lula (Huffine) Harper. He graduated from Francisco High School. Dad worked for Whirlpool before going to work for Lincoln Life Insurance. He sold life insurance until he retired. After retirement he managed the Chateau Apartments on the eastside of Evansville for several years. At that time, he moved to Lynnville Park, where he spent his days working on outboard motors, fishing, and hunting morels. Dad was a Christian and could quote countless bible verses. He loved to spend time with all of his family having fish fry’s, watching IU basketball, enjoying a hot cup of coffee, and eating red velvet cake. Dad was always humming or singing a song. He never met a stranger and was loved by many. Dad lived the last 3 ½ years at Transcendent Healthcare North in Boonville where he made many friends. The family would like to thank Transcendent Healthcare North for taking care of our Dad.
