Robert Allen “Bob” Kincaid, age 89, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on April 10, 2026, at Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
Bob was born on January 8, 1937, in Evansville, Indiana, to Loren and Alberta (Ely) Kincaid. He graduated from high school in 1954 and went on to attend Evansville College, where he studied speech and art. During his time there, he also worked at the college radio station, beginning a lifelong career in broadcasting.
Following college, Bob worked part-time at WGBF and later at WIKY Radio for five years. On July 7, 1961, he married Pauline Tieman, the love of his life. In September of that same year, the couple moved to Frankfort, Kentucky, where Bob served as a morning announcer at WFKY Radio. Their daughter, Lisa, was born in July 1962.
In June 1964, the family moved to Delaware, Ohio, where Bob became the general manager of WDLR Radio. Their son, Kevin, was born in December of that year. In 1970, the family relocated to Greensburg, Indiana, where Bob became president and part owner of WTRE AM/FM Radio. They built a home there and remained in Greensburg until 1987.
From 1985 to 1987, Bob served as an evening radio host at WXTD-FM in Indianapolis. In November 1987, the Kincaid family moved to Shelbyville, Illinois, where they purchased and operated WSAT-FM alongside partners from Michigan. They managed the station until October 1989, when they returned to Southern Indiana and made their home in Newburgh.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Lisa Fahrlander (Randy); and four granddaughters, Elizabeth, Molly, Sally, and Emily.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; beloved son, Kevin Kincaid, who passed away in 2009, and his loving wife of 58 years, Pauline Kincaid, who passed away in February 2020.
