Robert J. Stewart, age 67, of Evansville, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital of Evansville.
Bob was born August 18, 1958, in Evansville, Indiana to Glenn and Mildred (Goebel) Stewart. He graduated from South Spencer High School in 1976. After graduating, it was time to go to work. He started off with a landscaping job and then switched to Evansville Clutch and then to Mid-America Clutch. In 1977, Bob met the love of his life, Kimberly Duff. After dating for nine months, the pair tied the knot, beginning the story of their family together, They had two sons, Robert and Mark. When Bob wasn’t working, he could easily be found outdoors. He lived for the hunt, and just recently shot an 8 point buck. He very much loved to fish as well. His best catch is now mounted at home, a big ‘ol bass. He also kept up on a garden at home and enjoyed being outside. Bob also drove race cars with his boys, taking left turns around the dirt track. Bob enjoyed life with his family, but absolutely loved his grandchildren. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly (Duff) Stewart; his children, Robert (Misty) Stewart II and Mark Stewart; grandchildren, Noah, Taylor, Braiden, Karver; nephew, Chris Grayson; 5 siblings; brother and best friend, Davie Stewart; and family best friends Mark, & Tammy Fulkerson and Krissy Ramage.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; parents in law, Donald and Norma Duff, and sister in law, Rhonda McGill.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 27, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue.
