Robert "Bob" Corum

Robert “Bob" Corum, age 91, of Evansville, IN, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Heart-to-Heart Hospice Center surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born January 17,1934, in Beach Grove, KY, to the late Gertie and Audrey (Abney) Corum. He attended Beach Grove High School for the majority of his high school years, and then graduated from the consolidated Calhoun High School in1952. He married his high school sweetheart, Diana (Poiles) Corum and they shared 55 years together until her passing in 2009.

Bob retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 44 years of service, and he was a faithful member of Heritage Baptist Church in Evansville. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and watching Kentucky Wildcats basketball. He was an avid pool player and participated in leagues for many years with his friends.

Bob is survived by his four children: son, Dennis Corum (Starli); daughters; Virginia Van Houten (Duane), Vanessa Manetti (Ren), and Betty Jean Flowers (Doug); 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine Gunterman(Ronnie); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Gertie and Audrey Corum; beloved wife, Diana Corum; and brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Dorothy Corum.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m. CST, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Heritage Baptist Church, 1900 Lodge Avenue, Evansville, IN, with Pastor Alan Jackson officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Richland Baptist Cemetery in Richland, KY.

Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until service time CST, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Heritage Baptist Church.
