Robert “Jay” Nicoson, age 47, of Evansville, IN, fought the good fight, kept the faith and finished his race on Saturday, January 4, 2020.

Jay was born August 12, 1972, in Terre Haute, IN, to Robert Dale Nicoson and Cynthia (Suttle) Nicoson. He graduated from Northview High School of Brazil, IN, in 1990. Jay graduated from Lincoln Trail Junior College in 1992 with an Associate’s Degree, studied art at ISU, and was also a 1997 graduate of World Harvest Bible College in Columbus, OH. He loved playing baseball and softball during his college years. Jay was the lead pastor of Oak Hill Christian Center from 2013-present. He was passionate about studying the Word of God and preaching. He loved being in the woods hunting, he enjoyed fishing, he was a HUGE Colts fan, a Reds fan and he enjoyed playing golf. Jay loved his wife and kids deeply. He was in his happy place when he was with his family at Holiday World!

Jay is survived by his parents; loving wife of 22 years, Kimberly (Jones) Nicoson; son, Braden Nicoson; daughter, Jaelyn Nicoson; brother, Jeff Nicoson and many nieces and nephews.

Jay is preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel “Woody” Suttle, Mary Suttle,

Warren “Nic” Nicoson and Betty Nicoson

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. CST, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Oak Hill Christian Center, 4901 Oak Hill Rd, Evansville, IN 47711, with Pastor Don Gifford officiating. 

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. CST, until time of service, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Oak Hill Christian Center.

Memorial Contributions may be made at any Old National Bank to the Jay Nicoson Memorial Fund, to help defray medical expenses and funeral costs.
