Robert Lewis Anderson, Sr. gained his wings while surrounded by family in Winder, GA, at 12:00 a.m., on October 17, 2024.
"Pete" as he was affectionately known by, was born January 22, 1949, in Evansville, IN, to Lois and Alberta Anderson. He was the oldest of the family's four children. Pete accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Nazarene Baptist Church. In 1967, Pete graduated from Bosse High School and soon after that, married his high school sweetheart, Pauline Kelly. Pete later joined the U.S. Navy where he was trained and began his career as an electrician. Pete enjoyed movies, music, and the casino, but he also enjoyed spending time with his family. His personality was as "electric" as his career!
Pete leaves to cherish his legacy, his devoted wife of over 57 years, Pauline; daughters, Lisa Carter (Leo), of Winder, GA, and Lakesa Dodson (David), of Memphis, TN; sons, Lynn Owens (Jennifer), of Madisonville, KY, and Robert Anderson, Jr. (Tarashai), of Pine Bluff, AR; sister, Roberta Staten; brother, George Anderson; 12 grandchildren, London, Larrisa, Lorenzo, Angelalynn, Austin, Anaiah, Alisha, Aaron, Amani, Julian, Morgan, and Donnell (Trey); 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Lois "Andy" Anderson and Alberta Lovelace Anderson; sister, Lois R.M. Anderson; two nieces, Katrina Compton and Alexandria Horton; and his faithful companion, Fido.
Pete always opened his home to everyone, and if he had it, you had it! He will always be remembered for making us laugh, being the life of the party, and jamming in his "boom-boom room". He will truly be missed by all.
