Rodney Gene Cooper, age 57, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville.
Rodney was born April 24, 1968, in Detroit, MI, to Fred Cooper, Sr. and Kay (Young) Bolin. He graduated from Heritage Hills High School. He worked in lawn care for EAI. Rodney enjoyed the outdoors, watching wrestling, and was an avid Washington Commanders fan. He was an animal lover. Rodney was a hard worker and if anyone needed anything, he was there to help.
Rodney is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Dorraugh, Melissa Green, and Kitty Zulley; brothers, William “Billy” Cooper and John Bolin; beloved dogs, Izzy and Coop; and many nieces and nephews.
Rodney is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Cooper, Sr. and Kay Bolin; and brother Fred Cooper, Jr.
Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Burial will be private.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
