Roger A. Murphy

Roger A. Murphy, age 85, of Summerville, SC, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, in Summerville.

Roger was born July 22, 1936, in Evansville, IN, to Audrey and Alma (Vaughn) Murphy. He graduated from Central High School and was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Japan during the Vietnam War. Roger retired from Daimler Chrysler in St. Louis, MO, as a Paint Inspector after 25 years of service. He was an avid sports fan.

Roger is survived by his niece, Karen Parsons (Steve) of Gastonia, NC; and nephew, Stephen Murphy of Summerville, SC.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Audrey and Alma Murphy; and his brother, Ron Murphy (Jean), of North Charleston, SC.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. CST, Monday, May 23, at Sunset Memorial Park, 1800 St. George Road, Evansville, IN with Pastor Terry Gamblin officiating.
