Ronald "Ronnie" Joseph Beard

Ronald “Ronnie” Joseph Beard, age 76, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2025, at his home.

Ronnie was born September 4, 1948, in Evansville, to the late Joseph William and Betty Rose (Foster) Beard. He graduated from North High School in 1966. Ronnie served in the United States Navy in Vietnam. He was a member of Rolling Thunder and the Charles Denby VFW Post #2953. He was the owner of Joe Beard & Sons, Inc, which he started with his father. Ronnie attended Northwoods Church. Ronnie loved his hot rods and his hot rod buddies. He enjoyed attending Frog Follies and James Dean Run. He also enjoyed tinkering in the garage and fishing with his brother-in-law, Larry.

Ronnie is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lavada A. (Sims) Beard; daughter, Leslie Haas (Brandon); son, Ronald “Andy” Beard (Brooke); brother, Emery Beard (Kay); and grandchildren, Chayse Dodson (Madeline), Nellie Haas, Brendon Smith (Mariah), and Aedon Smith.

Funeral Services will be Private at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Bill L. Reed officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.
