Ronda R. (Ginger) June

Ronda R. (Ginger) June, age 65, of Evansville, IN, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023, at home.

Ronda was born June 13, 1958, in Evansville, IN, to William Ginger and Jackie (Galloway) Winstead. She graduated from Harrison High School in 1976 and worked in Sales and as a Bartender and Server for Casino Aztar and Ellis Park. She was of the Baptist faith, and she enjoyed listening to Delilah on WIKY radio and working in her flower garden. Ronda loved her family and her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

Ronda is survived by her son, Jeremy Freels; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Cruz and Jacob Vaught; great grandchildren, Sophia, Julian, and Lillian; sister, Patricia Winstead; brothers, David Winstead (Nancy), John Winstead (Joy), and Paul “Bo” Winstead (Kim); brother-in-law, Willie Fluty; special friend, Chris Herron; and many nieces and nephews.

Ronda is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Chasity Freels; sister, Donna Fluty; brothers, William “Billy” Ginger and Mark Ginger; and her beloved cat, Izzy.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
