Rose Mary (Tooke) Allen

Rose Mary (Tooke) Allen, age 82, of Evansville, IN, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, at St. Vincent Hospital - Evansville.

Rosie was born December 10, 1941, in Evansville, IN, to Orbie and Wilma (Hollis) Tooke. She attended Central High School and was a long-time member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church. Rosie worked for Black Equipment as an Invoicing Clerk for 21 years before retiring. In her younger years, she enjoyed cleaning. More recently, she loved Bible study and coloring. Her family was her life; she especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Rosie is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Waters; son, Dallas Allen; brother, Kenny Tooke; grandchildren, Brandon Allen (Trina), Shaun Waters (Andi), and Kendra Allen; and great grandchildren, Brayden, Chase, Peyton, Paige, Ryan, Gabby, Adriana, Sophie, and Keegan.

Rosie is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 54 years, Wayne E. Allen, who passed away in 2014; sisters, Gloria Inez Alvers and Marlene Slater; brothers, Orbie “Bud” Tooke and Larry Tooke; and sister-in-law, Patricia “Pat” Tooke.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Dr. Larry Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
