Rosie was born August 21, 1945, in Evansville, IN, to Hank and Mary (Rechtin) Greeson. She graduated from St. Francis High School in Kentucky. After high school, Rosie graduated from St. Mary of the Woods College majoring in Journalism. She was an active member of Sts. Mary and John Catholic Parish for over 50 years, where she sang in the choir and served on numerous committees, including Parish Council, Restoration, and Finance.  Rosie received the Bruté Award through the Catholic Diocese of Evansville. Rosie was known as “The Shoebox Lady.” Every year she filled shoe boxes for the Good Samaritan Purse Ministry and House of Bread and Peace. She collected and cleaned stuffed animals for shelters. Rosie loved hosting Friday night parties every week, where they played Hand and Foot, puzzles and games, and enjoyed food and fellowship. Her hobbies include crafting, knitting, puzzles, scrapbooking, and she was the world’s best bow maker.

Rosie is survived by her sister in Christ, Marti Barrett; nephew, Brian Greeson, and sister-in-law, Julie Greeson.

Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, Hank and Mary Greeson; and twin brother, Guy Greeson.
