Pearl (Wells) Bjourklund, 84, of Evansville, died at 10a.m. Saturday at Woodlands Care Center.
She retired in 1963 as operator of Bee’s Beauty Salon on Adams Avenue. She formerly worked DeJong’s Department Store.She was a Baptist, and member of the American Hairdresser Association and Moose Lodge Auxiliary awards for ballroom dancing was believed to be the first' woman in Indiana to join the WACS.
Surviving are a sister, Kathryn Pearson of Greenwood, IN and nieces.
Her husband, Swede Bjourklund, died in 1976.
Services will be at 1 p.m day at Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel in Greenwood,, Stetphen Roe officiating.
