Sally A. (Schukraft) Frickey, age 72, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 9:17 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
Sally was born July 5, 1950 in Evansville, to Jerome and Patricia (White) Schukraft. She graduated from LaSalle Peru High School in 1967. Upon graduation, Sally went on to attend college at the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana. Sally went on many adventures throughout the United States. While growing up, Sally and her family lived in Hamilton, OH, Greenville, TN, and LaSalle Peru, IL, before returning to Evansville. After meeting and marrying her husband, Dick, the family lived in Owensboro, KY, Washington, IL, Sioux Falls, SD, Tyler, TX and Columbia, MO before returning and settling in Southern Indiana in 2007. Sally went to Living Word Christian Church. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, knitting and sewing. Sally and her family enjoyed camping and traveling. She was a doting Grandmother to her grandchildren. Sally especially loved studying the Bible and reading Christian Resource Books.
Sally is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Richard “Dick” Frickey; son, Scott Biggerstaff (Jennifer), step-sons; Mike Frickey and Jim Frickey (Jennifer); sister, Sylvia Calkin (Terry); and grandchildren, Aiden, Ainsley, Dylan and Alex.
Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Patricia; and sister, Susan Gish.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Tommy Epperson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until Service Time on, Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
