Shane Michael Boles

Shane Michael Boles, age 41, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 5:35 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital – Evansville.

Shane was born May 6, 1981, in Evansville, IN, to Sheryl (Stierley) Smiddy. He graduated from Castle High School in 1999 and studied Audio Engineering and Music Production at Full Sail University. Shane was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church and worked as a cameraman and editor for Channel 25 for 15 years. He enjoyed making movies and all things Superman. Shane especially loved spending time with his son, Maddox, and traveling to the Superman Fest in Metropolis.

Shane is survived by his mother, Sheryl Smiddy (Tim); son, Maddox Boles; sisters, Charlene Boles and Katie Burke; brothers, Niles Burke (Margot) and Travis Burke; stepbrother,
Ryan; grandmother, Hilda Swan; and grandfather, Wally Golden.

Shane is preceded in death by his stepfather and father figure, Robert “Bob” Boles, who passed away in 1999.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, with Reverend Dr. Larry Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery, Sebree, KY.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
