Sharon S. (McKee) Greenwell

Sharon S. (McKee) Greenwell, age 84, of Boonville, IN, passed away at 6:19 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital - Evansville.

Sharon was born November 1, 1938, in Vincennes, IN, to the late Ernie and Mary (Tucker) McKee. She graduated from Francis Joseph Reitz High School in 1956. Sharon worked as a switchboard operator at Indiana Bell Telephone Company. She loved traveling all over the country, but one of her favorites was vacationing in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Sharon enjoyed reading, especially her Bible.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Bill Greenwell; daughter, Darcy Weyerbacher; grandchildren, Monica Back (Dustin), Crystal Weyerbacher and Shawn Weyerbacher (Mary); and great grandchildren, Austin, Paige, Katelyn, Rose, Jaide and Jasper.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Jacqueline Greenwell.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with John Riley officiating. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, IN.

Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
