Sharon Lee (Martin) Greenwood

Sharon Lee (Martin) Greenwood, age 78, of New Harmony, IN, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Sharon was born February 25, 1946, in New Harmony, to Guthrie Lee Martin and Mary (Moody) Martin. She graduated from New Harmony High School. In 1978 Sharon married Leo and they resided in New Harmony, Indiana. She attended Holy Angels Catholic Church in New Harmony and St. Matthews Catholic Church in Mt. Vernon.

Sharon is survived by her nephew and caregiver, Douglas (Deborah) Parker; nephew, David Parker; caregiver and great nieces, Melissa Williams (Kent) and Paige Patterson; as well as many friends; also, special friends, Betty Barnett and Debra Johnson.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 45 years, Leo Greenwood in 2023; sister, Shirley Ann (Martin) Parker; and niece, DeeAnn Martin (Parker) Patterson.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Father Ted Tempel officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in New Harmony.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
