Sharon Sue (Burlison) Griese, 88 of Evansville, IN, went to her Heavenly Home on July 27, 2024 at the Heart to Heart Hospice House.
Sharon was born February 11, 1936, in Evansville, IN, to George and Gladys (Weiss) Burlison. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1954 and went to work at Keller Crescent Co. as a secretary. After having her children, Sharon was a homemaker and the biggest supporter at all of her kids’ activities. When her children entered college, she worked at Stewarts and LS Ayres for many years. In her later life, Sharon was blessed with three granddaughters who became her focus. She occupied her time after retirement attending every school event, sporting activity, and family outing. She was a member of First Christian Church for over 80 years where she participated in bible study and the Keenagers activities. Sharon was a loving wife, supportive mother, and the biggest cheerleader for her grandchildren.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harold A Griese; daughter, Cyndie Luttrull (Brad); son, Stephen Griese (Jackie); granddaughters, Courtney Nellis (Rory), Lauren Hancock, and Katelan Carneal (Jamison Mitchell); great grandsons; Rory (RJ), Knox and Cole Nellis. Special nieces Jan Burlison and Joni Blickendorf (Jim); step-granddaughters, Jennifer Kueber (Ben), Brittany Williams (Keith), and step-great grandsons, Braylin Williams and Hayden Kueber.
Special thanks to Pammy Schaber, Deaconess Gateway 6B unit, and Heart to Heart Hospice for their care of Sharon during her illness.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and brother Jack R. Burlison.
