Shelli Rae, "Beanie", to those who loved and knew her, was born on December 5th to John & Rita Byers, her dad's birthday. He said it was the greatest birthday present he could've ever gotten.
During her childhood, Shelli was a gifted athlete. In 8th grade, she won the city championship with Helfrich Park for volleyball with her serving 15 of the 21 winning points. She was also the only 8th grader to be invited to play with high-schoolers at the prestigious White River state games.
There was nothing Shelli loved more than Jesus. She was brought up in a Christian home, having been baptized alongside her father at a young age. She loved the Lord with all her heart and anyone who knew her felt the love of Christ through her actions. She never had much, but what little she did have, she gave away freely and without hesitation.
The greatest joy in Shelli's life was being a mother. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with her son and his friends. She always had an open door, a shoulder to cry on, and a hand ready to help. Kyle's friends always felt welcome because of Mama. She spent countless weekends, put in countless effort making sure her son and his friends always felt loved and cared about. Shelli wasn't just a mom to Kyle, she was Mama to many.
She loved riding her motorcycle "Stone Cold", going camping and fishing with her mama and her boy. Summers were spent relaxing at the beach down in Pensacola or fishing and swimming and building a fire at Yellow Banks. She was a talented dart player and beautiful singer. She loved to laugh and make others smile, always the life of the party.
She leaves behind so many friends and family who will dearly miss her. She was welcomed to her heavenly home by her Dad & grandma. To rest with the Father in Glory, forevermore.
This isn't goodbye, just see ya later.
