Shirley A. (Elfreich) Cannon, age 86, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:36 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital – Evansville.
Shirley was born October 21, 1936, in Evansville, IN, to Herbert and Catherine (Morris) Elfreich. She graduated from Reitz High School in 1954 and retired in 1994 from Mead Johnson after 39 years of service. Shirley was a faithful member of American Baptist East since 2004 and a former member of Calvary Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending Bible studies, being part of the prayer chain, being a greeter, and helping with various jobs as one of the church secretaries. Shirley also enjoyed reading, sending cards, and helping people.

Shirley is survived by her nieces and nephews, David Elfreich (Judy), Donna Henning, Kathy Brady (Phil), Jon Elfreich (Shannon), and Doug Elfreich (Christi); sister-in-law, Shirley Elfreich; and many great nieces and nephews.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Catherine Elfreich; son, Harold Derrington; brothers, Harold Elfreich and Donald Elfreich; and twin brother, Rev. Ferd Elfreich.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2022, at Embrace Church, 6300 Washington Avenue, Evansville, with Pastor David Huff and Pastor Jeff Stratton officiating. Burial will be Private at Sunset Memorial Park.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, December 16, 2022, at Embrace Church.
