Shirley Ann (Dame) Chambers

Shirley Ann (Dame) Chambers, age 86, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 6:15 a.m. on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital-Evansville.

Shirley was born March 17, 1936, in Flint, MI, to Allen H. and Connie M. (Clayton) Dame. She attended Central High School. Shirley retired from Sears in 1993 where she worked for 29 years. She then worked part time at Feather Your Nest Consignment Shop. She was a member of First Christian Church and the Daughters of the Nile ISIS Temple #41. Her highlight was being from a close-knit family. Shirley enjoyed meeting with her siblings once a month at different restaurants. 

Shirley is survived by her son, Rick E. Chambers (Ann); daughter, Becky Ann Sutton (Bo); sister, Jo Masterson (Berlin); brothers, Mike Dame (Rita), Keith Dame (Michelle), and Ron Dame (Nancy); grandchildren, Andrea Cobb-Fowler, Mallory Trusty (Jeremy), Justin Chambers (Samantha), Nathan Brown, and Nicholas Brown; and 8 great grandchildren.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Chambers in 1999; and brothers, Jim Dame, Gary Dame, and Ed Dame.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Ron Dame officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
