Shirley J. (Lang) Frank, age 90, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025, at Newburgh Healthcare.
Shirley was born September 17, 1935, in Hatfield, IN, to Nelson and Anna Belle (Woodruff) Lang. She lived on her family farm in Richland, IN and moved to Newburgh, IN in 2005. She graduated from Luce Township High School in 1952. Shirley worked as a Pharmacy Technician for many years in Owensboro, KY and Rockport, IN. She made wedding cakes and was a substitute school bus driver for South Spencer School Corporation. She enjoyed her years as a Girl Scout Troop Leader. Shirley also raised horses with her husband and daughter, Micki. She was the owner of the Buggy Shed which was a Christmas Store at the farm. While she ran the store, Bill planted and raised Christmas tress at Frank’s Tree Farm. They loved their new adventure after Bill retired. They loved meeting people and making friends. Shirley made friends wherever she went and truly loved people.
Her faith was very important to her. She was a member of Living Word Christian Church in Newburgh, IN and was active in various church organizations. She also enjoyed being involved in the Walk to Emmaus.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Micki (Frank) Wasson of Newburgh; son, Mike Frank of Evansville; grandchildren, Kate (Richard) Tomlinson, Paige (Richard) Nepute, Will Frank, and Morgan (Frank) Colbert; great grandchildren, Grant Tomlinson and Wyatt Tomlinson of Newburgh, and Parker Nepute and Anna Kathryn Nepute of Indianapolis; and niece, Shelia (Ayer) Given.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 54 years, William “Bill” E. Frank; and sister, Bettye Mae (Lang) Horner.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Living Word Christian Church, 3888 IN-261, Newburgh, IN with Pastor Tommy Epperson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Richland City, IN.
Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Living Word Christian Church.
