Sidney Brown, age 84, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice House.
Sidney was born June 26, 1940, in Sunflower, MS, to Sidney and Bertha (Tillman) Brown. He attended Lincoln High School in Evansville, IN. Sidney was a very talented mechanic. He retired from the Enterprise, MS school corporation as a mechanic and was a carpenter by trade. He also worked as Deputy Sheriff for Vanderburgh County. Sidney truly was a “jack of all trades.” He was also member of Little Valley Missionary Baptist Church.
Sidney is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Carrie (Bester) Brown; daughters, Anita, Barbara, Marlow, Marlyce, Christy, Vonnie, Stephanie, Vickie, and Valerie; sons, Tony, Steven, Michael, and Keith; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sidney is preceded in death by his parents; Sidney and Bertha Brown; daughter, Cynthia; and sons, Phil and Sidney.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Matory Bailey officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Mausoleum.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time 12:00 p.m., Monday, June 9, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
