Taken from us too early, Jackson (Jack) Corum, 21, passed away on November 23, 2025 in Fayetteville, NC.
Born on June 19th, 2004, in Evansville, IN, Jackson Anthony Corum was a precocious and energetic little boy, with an irresistibly sweet face and infectious, dimpled smile that ensnared the hearts of everyone. As he grew, so did his wit and sense of humor. Jackson’s superpower was making people laugh, sometimes at your own expense, but always out of love. He was profoundly active and athletic, enjoying football and weightlifting. Before graduating in 2022 from Tecumseh High School, he competed for several years on the wrestling team. To catch him sitting still was a rare sight, especially in the presence of his friends. In his free time, Jackson was an avid music lover and enjoyed being outdoors, working out, playing video games, riding his motorcycle, and fixing up vehicles with his buddies.
Directly after high school, 18-year-old Jackson enlisted in the US Army. He quickly gained accolades for his leadership skills and dedication to his career, earning the Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, and Parachutist badge. His last post was Fort Bragg, where he served as a 15E and a paratrooper in the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne division.
Throughout his life, Jackson was a fierce friend to all those around him. He was a loyal son, a watchful and devoted brother, and a proud uncle. Although he faced many hurdles and hardening trials in his short 21 years, he remained compassionate and true. His goofball personality and heartwarming laugh helped him to cultivate many friendships that became his chosen family. Often choosing to see the good in everyone, Jack would do all he could to help loved ones and those close to him. Described by a friend as, “so amazing and the most unserious playful dude that talked so fast you could hardly understand him.” He will remain a light in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
Jackson is survived by his father and step-mother Jeremiah and Bobbie Corum, his mother Kerry Adams-Corum; his grandparents Kim Marshall, Dennis and Starli Corum, Don and Trudy Moffett, Barbara Littrell; his siblings Ashley Holley (Richard), Mackenzie Rynas (Steven), Rory Corum, Rian Corum, Abah Clark; his uncle’s Joshua Corum (Melanie), Wesley Johnson, Anthony Schuble (Garda); countless cousins, 5 nephews, a niece and tons of friends and companions that will keep his memory alive.
He is preceded in death by his great grandfathers Roy Littrell and Bob Corum.
