Stacy Lynn (Mayes) Sanchez

Stacy Lynn (Mayes) Sanchez, age 59, of Evansville, IN, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

Stacy was born September 7, 1964, in Evansville, IN, to Ronald Glenn Mayes and Barbara Ann (Beard) Marks. She attended Bosse High School and studied criminal justice in college. Stacy loved riding with her boyfriend, Rick, on his Harley with their group as supporters of Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club. She was an active supporter of Smile Mile, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, enjoyed playing Bingo, and loved spending time with her dog, Daisy. She especially loved being a mom, daughter, and grandma.

Stacy is survived by her mother and stepfather, Barbara and Roger Marks; long-time boyfriend, Rick “Catfish” Englebright; daughter, Desiré Krohn (Michael); sons, Carlos Sanchez, Daniel Mayes, Scooter Cain, and Matthew Sanchez; brother, Ronald “Ronnie” Mayes; 5 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Stacy is preceded in death by her father, Ronald Mayes; son and first born, D’Eric Mayes; sisters, Phyllis Miracle, Barbara Cain, and Rhonda “Nona” Leech; and brother, Jimmy Darnell.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor James Wells officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until service time, Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
