Stacy Wells Obituary

Stacy Lynn Wells, age 55, of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 as a result of an automobile accident. Stacy Lynn was born January 27, 1966, in Normandy, MO, to Dannie R. Wells and Cindy A. (Moss) Fortner.

Stacy graduated from North High School in 1984 before joining the Army in 1988 and proudly served her country until she was honorably discharged. She was called back into service twice for Desert Storm and Desert Shield where she was awarded the Bronze Star for her heroic service. She loved her country and its people.

She moved to St. Louis after returning from the military for several years before moving to Florida. There she worked at The Perdido Key Resort with her “Perdido family” as she called them, for eight years.

Stacy loved to attend concerts, especially, The Rolling Stones. If they would have known her, they would have loved her too as everyone who knew her did. She was a free spirit and loved life and everyone she met.

Stacy is survived by her son, Alexander Babillis; mother, Cindy Fortner (Mac); father, Dannie Wells (Debra); brother, Ryan Wells (Jodi); nephew, Kyle Wells; grandmother, Patsy Brendel; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; her dog, Waylon; and her best friends, John Maloney and Wayne Mesplay.

Stacy Lynn is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lilbon and Mary Catherine Moss; and paternal grandparents, Harmon and Wilma Wells.
