Stanley “Stan” Wayne Logel, age 76, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Friday, November 28, 2025, at Heart to Heart Hospice House.
Stan was born January 22, 1949, in Evansville, IN, to Arthur and Minnie (Vaught) Logel. He graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1967. He worked in construction as an insulator at Triangle for 34 years, and was a proud 50-year member of Asbestos Workers Local 37. After retiring from construction, Stan spent 22 years working as a caddie at Victoria National Golf Course, where he enjoyed meeting several athletes and even caddied for Vice President Dan Quail.
Stan was an enthusiastic fan of Castle football, Notre Dame football, and IU sports. He also loved vacationing in Daytona, Florida with his wife, Jacki, where they made many wonderful memories with their friends.
After IU completed their perfect football season, Stan went home to be with his beloved wife, Jacki.
Stan is survived by his brother, Stephen Logel (Judith); cousin, Ann Johnston (John); and special friends, Crystal and Shawn Hebner; half-sister, Jenny Tenhumberg (Ray); sister-in-law, Sonja Snyder; nieces and nephew, Wendy, Tracey, and Scott.
Stan is preceded in death by his parents; and loving wife of 55 years, Jacqueline “Jacki” (Krepps) Logel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Sts. Mary and John Catholic Parish, 613 Cherry Street, Evansville, IN, with Father Eugene Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN where a Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Friends may visit again from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Sts. Mary and John Catholic Parish.
