Stephen F. Biggs

Stephen F. Biggs, age 77, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:32 p.m. on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at home, surrounded by his family.

Steve was born October 28, 1943, in New Albany, IN, to James and Beatrice (Stone) Biggs. He graduated from North High School in 1961 and was a Veteran in the United States Air Force where he served during the Vietnam War. Steve worked as a Railroader and later as Dam Engineer and Head Lockman for the Newburgh Lock and Dam. He loved fishing, hunting, bonfires, smoking cigars, and his Harleys. Steve especially loved spending time with his family and dog.

Steve is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandy M. (Smith) Biggs; sons, Tod Biggs and Chad Biggs (Chastity); grandchildren, McKenna Biggs, Madison Biggs, and Ava Biggs; great grandchild, Zaid Patterson; and his beloved yorkie, Cooper.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents, James and Beatrice Biggs; and brother, Wayne Biggs.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
