Stephen Spalding

Stephen Spalding, age 78, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on May 7, 2026, at his home.

Stephen was born on May 24, 1947, in Evansville, Indiana, to Claude and Mary (Clemens) Spalding. He graduated from Memorial High School in the class of 1965. After graduation, Stephen bravely served our country in the National Guard. Stephen was a big family man and a loyal Cardinals fan. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing.

Stephen is survived by his sons, Steve Spalding, Jr., Chris Hudson (Lisa), Steve Hudson (Danielle); daughters, Michelle Parker, Kelly Beals, Tracey Khan, brothers; Tom Spalding (Debbie), Bruce Spalding (Margie), JR Spalding (Diane), Jim Spalding (Dawn), Scott Spalding (Kim Josey); sisters, Susie Schapker, Linda Spalding, Sharon Koonce, Kathy Evans (Gary), Sandy Howe (Jeff), Laurie Shoulders; and many grandchildren.

Stephen is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Spalding; his parents, Claude and Mary Spalding; brother, Jerry Spalding; and two brothers-in-law, Joseph Schapker and Britt Shoulders.
