Stephen "Steve" Minor

Stephen "Steve" Minor, age 55, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on May 1, 2026, at his home.  Steve's family was with him at time of his unexpected passing.

Steve was born, April 1, 1971, in Evansville, Indiana, to Kenneth and Katherine (Kotzie) Minor. He graduated from Reitz High School in 1989. Steve attended Washington Avenue Church of Christ in Evansville.

Steve was a devoted husband, father, and friend who found joy in the outdoors and spending time with family. Steve served as a Boy Scout leader and was a member of the Izaak Walton League. He was an avid gun enthusiast, and enjoyed spot shooting, cooking and grilling, NASCAR, and especially caring for his beloved dog, Harley. Steve worked for Flanders Electric for 18 years as a machinist, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.  Steve was born and raised on the West Side of Evansville and moved to Newburgh after marrying his wife, Wendy.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Wendy (Coplea) Minor; children, Zach Coplea (Cortney), Zane Minor, and Samantha Minor; brothers, Wayne Minor and Jeff Minor (Becky Springer); sister, Kim Beavin (Dan); and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, Indiana 47715 with Alan Bush officiating.  Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, Indiana.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Boone Funeral Home.
