Steven English, age 74, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2020, peacefully in his home.
Steven was born August 30, 1945, in Evansville, IN, to the late Paul Junior English and Constance Marie (Cole) English. He graduated from North High School in 1963. Steven was a United States Marine Corp Veteran (1964-1968), and served during the Vietnam War (1965-1966). He was a former 6 Color Pressman at Creative Press, Inc. following the war, where he retired after 35 years. Steven was a Life member of VFW-1114 and American Legion Post #44. He enjoyed NASCAR, spending time playing golf with Tri-State Singles Golf Group, and drinking Budweiser beer.
Steven is survived by his son, Brian English (Heather) of Leland, NC; daughter, Traci Montgomery (Dan) of Newburgh, IN; brothers, Gary English (Bonnie) of St Charles, MO, David English of Venice, FL; sisters, Carole Alexander (Steven) of Newburgh, IN, Vicki Moore (Stephen) of Ft. Branch, IN; grandchildren, Kailea English, Meagan English, Tyler English; the twins, Aiden and Grayson English ; step-grandchildren, McKenna Spillane, Reilly Spillane; great grandchild, Josiah; and many nieces and nephews.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 3, 2020, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park where The American Legion Kapperman Post #44 will render full military rites.
