Steven Wayne Austin

Steven Wayne Austin, age 66, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Steve was born April 7, 1959, in Evansville, IN, to Philip and Sharon (McKendree) Austin. He graduated from North High School in 1977. He worked as a boilermaker for Boilermakers Local #374 for over 20 years. Steve enjoyed being outdoors, especially at his river camp on the Ohio River. He loved helping others and will be dearly missed.

Steve is survived by his mother, Sharon Austin; sisters, Debbie Day (Roger) and Phyllis Warren (Greg); first wife, Terri Dickman; second wife, Mimi Askins; and several nieces and nephews.

Steve is preceded in death by his father, Philip Austin; and infant brother, David Daniel Austin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be Private.
