Sun E (Chong Minh) Wortman

Sun E (Chong Minh) Wortman, age 65, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 11:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

Sun was born October 10, 1957, in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to the United States in 1976. She loved her family and was blessed to be able to raise her boys and be a homemaker. Later in life, she was an entrepreneur, owning several restaurants, including KanPai. Sun was a past member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in German Township. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Sun is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mark Randall Wortman; and sons, Jeffrey and Joseph Wortman; grandchildren, Kayla, Zachary, Allison Olivia, Samuel, and Chloe Wortman; and two brothers in South Korea.

Sun is preceded in death by her mother.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. CST, Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Terry Farmer officiating. Burial will be in Salem Church Cemetery of Darmstadt, IN.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time CST, Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
