Susan "Susie" B. (Buthod) Taylor

Susan B. “Susie” (Buthod) Taylor, age 69, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at home.

Susie was born April 22, 1955, in Evansville, IN, to the late James M. and Dorothy Buthod. She graduated from Francis Joseph Reitz Memorial High School in 1973 and went on to graduate from Indiana University in 1977. Susan worked for Buthod, Longest, Reitman, Steadman and Clark Law Firm for many years and most recently as an Administrative Assistant for the Warrick County Commissioner’s Office for 24 years. She was a member of the American Legion Kapperman Post #44 Women’s Auxiliary.

Susie is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, John S. Taylor; sons, Adam M. Taylor (Anne Louise) of Washington, D.C. and Matthew B. “Matt” Taylor of Aurora, IL; sisters, Madeleine Reffett (Steve) of Newburgh, IN, Mary Pat Trainum (Jack) of Evansville, IN and Anne “Betsy” Westhafer (Paul) of Dayton, OH; brother, John Buthod (Jayne) of Evansville, IN; and 5 grandchildren.

Susie is preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Buthod.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
