Suzanne (Baker) Weigel

Suzanne (Baker) Weigel, age 62, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville.

Suzanne was born May 20, 1964, in Evansville, IN, to Bruce H. and Carol (Ayer) Baker. She graduated from Boonville High School in 1982 and graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a Bachelor’s Degree in social work. She continued her education at Ivy Tech to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Suzanne dedicated her life to caring for others in various healthcare roles and eventually retired from Newburgh Healthcare as a Nursing Home Administrator and part Owner.

Suzanne is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Kent Weigel; daughter, Abigail Weigel; son, Wesley Weigel; mother, Carol (Ayer) Baker; and brother, John Baker.

Suzanne is preceded in death by her father, Bruce H. Baker.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Main Street United Methodist Church at 222 E Main Street, Boonville, IN 47601 with Pastor Cole Moore and Pastor David Hayes officiating. Burial will be Private in Baker Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Main Street United Methodist Church in Boonville, IN.
