Tamrah "Tammy" L. Turner

Tamrah “Tammy” L. Turner, 67, of Evansville passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025 at Envive Healthcare of Evansville.

Tammy was born on November 20, 1957 in Vincennes, Indiana to Clyde and Mary (Dickens) Turner. Tammy grew up spending most of her childhood in the rural area of Marshall, IL and is a graduate of Marshall High School. She graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Special Education. She was retired from Expressway Dodge and had previously worked as a special education teacher in Vanderburgh County. She enjoyed helping others, both young and old. She loved to sing in the choir at church. Tammy enjoyed animals, especially horses, and was an avid birding enthusiast. She would travel long distances to see an uncommon bird to place on her list or to rescue and relocate certain species. With Tammy having ascended into heaven, her cremated remains will be returned to the earth and the nature that she loved.

Tammy is survived by her sister-in-law, Lesa Turner; and nephew, Matthew Turner, both living in Terre Haute, IN.

Tammy is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Hans C. Turner.

Services and Burial will be private.
