Theodora A. “Dora” (Meredith) Casteel, age 77, of Evansville, IN, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at home, surrounded by her family.

Dora was born July 2, 1944, in Evansville, IN, to Truman and Charlotte (Ritzert) Meredith. She graduated from Central High School in 1962 and went on to earn her Associate’s Degree in Business from Ivy Tech Community College. Dora was an active member of CrossPointe Trinity Church, a member of the Owls Club, and a member of the Germania Maennerchor Ladies’ Auxilary. She enjoyed selling Avon and Home Interiors. Dora loved her family, and she especially loved watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports.

Dora is survived by her son, Kelly Casteel; sister, Barb Dennis; grandchildren, Haleigh (Logan), Kelton (Madison), and Dayton (Kayla); and great grandchildren, Kade, Bentley, Ryder, Gunner, Noah, Kane, and Watson.

Dora is preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Charlotte Meredith; husband of 21 years, Willard Casteel, who passed away in 2007; and siblings, Darrell Meredith, Carolyn Evans, Rick Meredith, Linda Coultas, and Rodney Meredith.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Duane Allison officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 27, 2021, and from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
