Thomas Dull Obituary

Thomas A. Dull, age 80, of Boonville, IN, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2026, at Heart to Heart Hospice House.

Tom was born May 6, 1946, in Evansville, IN, to Frederick and Julia (Stuteville) Dull. He graduated from North High School in 1964 and continued his education at Indiana State University where he graduated in 1968. He later answered the call to serve his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Being a Navy veteran wasn’t simply part of his past—it was part of who he was. His love for America never faded, and he proudly remained active in the American Legion, honoring the men and women who served alongside him and the country he loved so deeply. After his service, Tom built a successful career with General Motors in Indianapolis where he retired after 30 years. He believed in showing up, working hard, and taking pride in a job well done.

Tom had a personality that was impossible to duplicate. He was stubborn, funny, outspoken, said what was on his mind, and stood firmly by what he believed. Tom valued his family and enjoyed creating unforgettable memories with them. He loved being outdoors, especially golfing, hunting, and boating.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Maridawn Wissner-Dull; daughter, Holly Bentley (Dave); sons, Chad Dull, Andy Wissner (Crystal), Matt Wissner (Vanessa), and Ryan Wissner (Nicki); brother, Richard Dull (Jane); sisters, Jan Dull and Julie Marshall (Donnie); cherished grandchildren, Addy Boyd, Maya Wissner, Ella Wissner, Gus Wissner, Jax Wissner, Paige Wissner, Avery Wissner, and Banks Bentley; loving nieces, Janette Hixson, Janelle Dull, Jaclene Dull, and Joie Hickenbottom; and loving nephews, Jake Dull, Jeff Dull, and Paul Marshall.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Dull, and grandson, John Kaleb Wissner.
