Thomas D. Saum, age 61, of Henderson, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN, surrounded by his wife and children.
Tom was born March 27, 1963, in Evansville, IN, to Roy J. and Nellie C. (Oliver) Saum. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1981 and was a Veteran in the United States Army. He drove School Buses and Tour Buses, which he absolutely loved, and later worked in Security until he retired. He enjoyed woodworking, singing, playing Monopoly, and eating at Agaves Mexican Grill. Tom loved his family and especially enjoyed spending time with them.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Kendra (Martin) Saum; kids, Bradley Saum (Jackie), Amber Hoffner (Aaron), Brittany Marble, Kyle Saum (Amanda), and Jason Saum; bonus kids, Russ McCollum (Jennifer), Ian McCollum (Hailey), and Erin Flanagan (Nathan); grandkids, Iziah, Hunter, Logan, and Lainey Saum, Brady and Alex King, Maxie and Gigi Hoffner, Taylor Marble, Autumn McMain, Braxtyn Saum, April and Katie McCollum, Evan and Brook Kitchens, and Madelein McCollum; brothers, Tim Saum, John Saum, and Alan Saum; sisters, Sherrie Badger and Amanda Sayers (Bryan); too damn many nieces, nephews, and cousins to count; and dog, Lulu.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Nellie Saum; sisters, Rose Scott and Joyce Fortman; and nephew, Kevin Scott.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday, March 17, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. The American Legion Kapperman Post 44 will be rendering military honors. Burial will be at a later date in Sunset Memorial Park.
Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until service time, 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday, March 17, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
