Tina May (Wood) Rakestraw

Tina May “Toon” (Wood) Rakestraw, age 63, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 16, 2025, at her home.

Tina was born May 4, 1962, in Evansville, IN, to George Amory and Anna Mae (Howell) Wood. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1981. She enjoyed listening to rock music, taking rides on motorcycles, and was an avid animal lover. Tina especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Tina is survived by her daughters, Trinity Kendrick and Hannah Miles; son, Nicholas Rakestraw (Jessica); mother, Anna Wood; sisters, Donna Milan, Pamela Jorgensen (Herman), Patricia Baugh, Becky Reisinger, Samela Goosetree (Jeff), Lisa Sturm (Wayne), and Amy Price (Christopher); grandchildren, Braxton, Brayden, Bradley, Kingston, Dallas, Creed, and Baby Blue on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

Tina is preceded in death by her father, George Wood; and sister, Cheryl Wood.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Burial will be Private in Oak Hill Cemetery.
