Tonya Rae (Keenan) Mabern

Tonya Rae (Keenan) Mabern, 65, of Evansville, IN passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Tonya was born August 12, 1953, in Evansville, IN, the daughter of the late Bernard and Dorothy (Huffman) Keenan, and was a 1971 graduate of Benjamin Bosse High School in Evansville. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. Tonya retired from Whirlpool Corporation after 18 years of service, and also worked for Zeneth Electronics. Tonya was a member of Ladies Auxilary Post VFW 114 and is an animal lover who had a special place in her heart for her dog, Fran.

She is survived by her siblings, T. DuWayne Keenan (Marilyn Duncan) of Rockport, IN; Kim Weisheit (Chuck) of Chandler, IN; sisters-in-law, Joan Keenan and Darlene Keenan; 3 step-daughters; 8 step-grandchildren, 10 step-great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Mabern; parents; and brothers, Gregory Keenan and Mike Keenan.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Jonathan Scott officiating. Entombment will be in Oak Hill Mausoleum.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday, March 18, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
