Valerie (Whitfield) Wise

Valerie (Whitfield) Wise, age 60, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 8:56 a.m. on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital – Evansville.

Valerie was born October 3, 1958, in Madisonville, KY, to Dewey and Joyce (Lanham) Whitfield. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1976. Valerie enjoyed going out with her friends, dancing and cross stitching. She was a devoted caregiver and also treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. 

Valerie is survived by her mother, Joyce Whitfield; daughter, Anne Stevens; brother, Chris Whitfield; grandchildren, Aaliyah, Da’Shaun, and Aniyah; and fur babies, Andy and Ellie.

Valerie is preceded in death by her father, Dewey Whitfield and her Labrador, Abe.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 9, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating. Burial will be Private.  

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until service time, Friday, August 9, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
