Virgil R. Ellerbruck

Virgil R. Ellerbruck, age 83, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 5:55 a.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.

Virgil was born July 28, 1938, in Gibson County, IN to Frank E. and Rosa Marie (Seipert) Ellerbruck. He graduated from Mackey High School in 1956. Virgil retired from P and H Construction after 27 years and he worked at Central Glass for 10 years. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church for over 50 years.

Virgil is survived by his daughter, Tammy Kempf (David); grandchildren, Chelsea Day (Taylor), Jennifer Ware (Troy), and Sean Kempf (Glenda); and great grandchildren, Micah, Alyssa, Eli, Elayna, Savannah, and Hayden.

Virgil is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 61 years, Beverly Ellerbruck; daughter, Julie Von Hor; siblings, Jerry Ellerbruck, Barbara Reising and Walter Ellerbruck.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 15, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Cliff Herring officiating.
