Vivian B. (Knarr) Stinson

Vivian B. (Knarr) Stinson, age 101, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at The Villages at Hamilton Pointe, Newburgh, IN.

Vivian was born June 28, 1923, in Jersey Shore, PA, to Clarence and Pearl (Daugherty) Knarr. She graduated from Jersey Shore High School. In the early 40s, she moved to Elkton, KY, and later moved to Evansville, IN, in the early 50s. She was a member of Creekside Church. She loved the Lord and loved her church family. Vivian worked as a Secretary at Home Federal Savings & Loan, Union Federal Savings & Loan, and at St. Mary’s Health. She enjoyed cooking and creating new recipes, and everyone loved her homemade biscuits.

Vivian is survived by her daughter, Sandra Phillips (Carter) of Henderson, KY; son, Walton “Bud” Stinson, Jr. (Jane) of Newburgh, IN; and 2 grandchildren.

Vivian is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 81 years, Walton N. Stinson, Sr.; and 2 brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville IN, with Carter Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until service time, Monday, December 30, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
