Volodymyr Hurskyy

Volodymyr Hurskyy, age 66, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at home surrounded by family.

Volodymyr was born April 29, 1956, in Komi, USSR, to Arhip Hurskyy and Vera Hurska. He grew up and raised his family in Lutsk, Ukraine. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree and worked as an Engineer in Aviation. Volodymyr was a very hard worker who proudly provided for his family. He was an extremely kind and positive person who loved his family. Volodymyr enjoyed watching soccer, especially the World Cup, and fishing in his spare time.

Volodymyr is survived by his loving wife, Lyudmyla (Dombrovska) Hurska; daughters, Yelena Tkachuk (Mikhail) and Oksana Khoma; 5 grandchildren, Diana Obermeyer, Daniel and Anthony Tkachuk, Ivan Pokhylchuk and Adrii Khoma; and sisters, Antonina and Luba.

Volodymyr is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 28, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, April 28, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
