Wanda Lee (Fraser) Hayes

The family of Wanda Lee (Fraser) Hayes sadly announces the death of their loving matriarch, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sibling. She passed away at 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital.

Wanda was born January 10, 1931, in Robards, KY to the late Essel and Ruby (Hunter) Fraser. Just a couple of weeks from the age of 92, her entire life centered around the love of family. She was generous and selfless in her love of every family member. Every decision of her life was determined by the depth of feeling for those she loved and how those decisions would impact every family member. That love was acknowledged and returned by many – family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Ray Hayes (John), Ed Hayes (Janet), and Glen Hayes (Kristy); grandchildren, Michele Spells (Johnny), Susan Sullivan (Devin), Adam Wildt, Desi Webb (Will), and Jared Hayes; great-grandchildren, Rori Webb, Logan Webb, Tyler Spells, and Landon Wildt; sister, Charlene Ethridge (Bob); and devoted friend and caregiver, Kathy Bass.

Wanda is preceded in death by her husband, Cledis Hayes; son, Reggie Hayes; daughter, Diane Wildt; grandson, Allen Wildt; and great-grandson, Austin Webb.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Jeff Hartford officiating. Private burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2022, and from 11:30 a.m. until service time Friday, December 30, 2022 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
