Waymon E. Dockins

Waymon E. Dockins, age 80, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 10:03 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Solarbron.

Waymon was born September 8, 1940, in Greenville, KY, to the late Horace and Ruby N. (Dukes) Dockins. He graduated from Cynthiana High School in 1958. Waymon enjoyed eating, fishing, watching television, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Waymon is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Charlotte (Suttle) Dockins; daughter, Lora Ward (Chuck); son, John Dockins (Michelle); brother, Darrell Dockins (Charlene); grandchildren, Matt (Cari), Amy (Justin), and Jasmine; great grandchildren, Grayson, Natalie, Grace, and Zak; and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Rod Hoschouer officiating. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
