William “Bill” E. Moore, age 86, of Newburgh, IN, passed away July 19, 2025, peacefully at his home, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Bill was born January 29,1939, in Evansville, IN, to Alfred and Dorothy (Jones) Moore. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1957. Bill served in the United States Army. He retired from Alcoa after 29 years working in the IT department. Bill was an Instructor at Ivy Tech, and was a past member of the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus. He loved wood working, doing bible study, and his missionary work in Afghanistan, Russia, Yemen and Tunisa. Bill wrote and published 4 books, and he made a CD titled Bless the Lord.
Bill is survived by his survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Susan (Temple) Moore; daughters, Vicki Moore, Michele Alvarez (Adrian), and Kelli Huskey (Rickey); grandchildren, Alex Alvarez (Maree), Kirsten Alvarez (Patrick), Aundrea Shepherd, Cody Shepherd, Dustin Moore (Zella),Tyler Moore (Zoey), Jacob Campbell, and 8 great grandchildren; niece, Stevie Barnes (Kyle); nephew, Jeremy Temple; great niece and nephew, Jadelyn and Nate Temple.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Jim Lassack and Albert Lassack.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July, 22, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Steve Schwambach officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until time of service, Tuesday, July, 22, 2025, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
