William Morris Hartley, Jr., age 58, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 9:47 a.m. on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital – Evansville.
Bill was born August 12, 1964, in Evansville, IN, to William Morris Hartley, Sr. and Susan (Smith) Saulmon. He attended North High School and was a Veteran in the United States Army. Bill loved all things music: listening to music, watching videos, and attending concerts. He also enjoyed his motorcycles that he raced in his younger days. Bill loved his family.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Joy (Schenck) Hartley; children, Lucia Hartley, Bradley Meyer, Jennifer Barnhill (Michael Brinkley), Charity Charles (Kingcy); sister, Sandy Drew (Steve); stepsisters, Sheri Sullivan (Tony) and Terry France; stepbrothers, Blaine France (Amanda) and Bryce France (Christy); grandchildren, Kaleena Brinkley, Blaze Brinkley, Evan Barnhill, and Jade Barnhill; and several nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by his father, William Hartley; mother, Susan Saulmon; stepfather, Joseph “Joe Ed” France; sister, Julie Rutledge; and his grandmother and mother figure, Leona Ruth Mattingly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Kris Holzmeyer officiating. Burial will be Private.
Friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. until service time, Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
